This workbook provides four classroom-proven steps to improve students' narrative, expository, and persuasive writing, and to raise student scores on standardized state writing tests. Following an introduction, the workbook is divided into the following sections which conform to the four steps: Step One: Teach Students to Write Strong Verb Practice Paragraphs; Step Two: Teach Students How to Score the State Writing Assessment Test; Step Three: Teach Students How to Plan and Write a Standard Five-Paragraph Essay (and Narrative Story) and Have Students Plan, Write, Evaluate, and Score at Least Fifteen before the Day of the Test; and Step Four: Teach Students to Be Able to Write from a Point of View Other Than Their Own (Expository/Clarification and Persuasive) and Encourage Enthusiasm and Passion (Narrative, Descriptive, Expository/Clarification, and Persuasive).
