This Los Rios Community College District (LRCCD) report profiles the enrollment patterns of recent high school graduates who attend Los Rios Colleges. It includes data on participation rates from all feeder high schools in the greater Sacramento area, and provides insights as to where participation growth and decline occur. The cohort includes students enrolled at Los Rios colleges from fall 1993 to fall 1996 who are 19 years or younger, received a high school diploma, and last attended high school in the year specified. The report begins with a district composite, then provides enrollment information on American River College, Cosumnes River College, and Sacramento City College. It then lists the top ten feeder high schools for each school, providing data on the enrollment trends of high school graduates with respect to a particular school. Results indicate that a little more than half of the new high school graduates attending American River College come from its top ten feeder schools, while 80.2% of Cosumnes' and 72.1% of Sacramento's come from their top ten feeder schools. These differences, as well as others discovered from the study, pose specific recruitment challenges for each of the Los Rios colleges. (YKH)
