What Do Students Learn? Virginia Higher Education, Indicators of Institutional Mission, Number 2.

This report summarizes, institution by institution, what each of the 17 public colleges and universities in Virginia have learned from formal assessment programs in the biennium ending in 1996 and how the institutions have used that information to improve their programs. A two-page spread for each institution includes a narrative which describes the school's various assessment programs and their findings and a small map indicating the school's location. The colleges and universities included are: Christopher Newport University, Clinch Valley College, College of William and Mary, George Mason University, James Madison University, Longwood College, Mary Washington College, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University, Radford University, Richard Bland College, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Community College System, Virginia Military Institute, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and Virginia State University.
