Concerned with the need to assess strategies for dealing with poverty and work concerns and to base British public policy on an appreciation of how different types of families are differentially affected by a changed labor market and an unchanged benefit system, this report compiles proceedings of seminars held in 1994 on the relationship between work, family, and resources. The seminars were organized by the Family Policy Studies Centre (FPSC) in observance of the International Year of the Family. The sessions on family and work are: (1) "More work in fewer households?"
