Five tables provide information about the racial/ethnic distribution of degrees conferred by public, independent, and proprietary institutions of higher education in New York State from July 1, 1991 to June 30, 1992. The tables report the number and percentage of associate, bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and first professional degrees conferred to male and female: (1) nonresident aliens; (2) Blacks; (3) American Indians or Alaska Natives; (4) Asian or Pacific Islanders; (5) Hispanics; (6) Whites; and (7) individuals of unknown ethnicity.
