This bibliography lists basic periodical titles that should be included in school library collections for elementary schools in Oklahoma. The periodicals are grouped by library phase of development, from the phase 1 stage with the smallest collections, to the expanded phase 3 collection. Each entry contains an annotation describing the use of the periodical and the age range to which the periodical applies, and those for professional development are presented with information about the grades to which they apply. Publication information, including addresses of suppliers, is also included. Periodicals are also listed by curriculum area and professional development use. Periodical indexes and instructional materials available for teaching the use of these indexes are also listed. In all, 35 children's titles, 17 professional titles, and 2 periodical indexes are profiled. Five periodical subscription services, one National Geographic index, and 16 instructional materials are also listed. (SLD)
