This document is one of a series of student workbooks developed for workplace skill development courses or workshops by Mercer County Community College (New Jersey) and its partners. Designed to help employees of medical establishments learn medical terminology, this course provides information on basic word structure, body parts, suffixes and prefixes, medical specialties, and case reports. The materials for the 5-day course include the following: a course outline, objectives, a topical outline, and a glossary of approximately 500 approved abbreviations for medical terms and 20 symbols and their meanings.
