This South Carolina guide was developed to provide a method for teaching the art of learning while teaching the subject matter of records management. The guide addresses the three domains of learning: psychomotor, cognitive, and affective. It is organized into 10 content units: records management--general; records organization and evaluation procedures; active records; inactive records; vital records; micrographics; forms control; correspondence control; reports control; and reprographics. For each performance objective in the units, the guide provides job-relevant tasks, performance standards and conditions, enabling objectives, resources, teaching activities, evaluation standards, criterion-referenced measures, and checklists for rating performance. Appendixes include (1) an outline of duties, tasks, and performance objectives; (2) definitions of terms; (3) an equipment and tools list; and (4) a 24-item bibliography. (KC)
