This report contains all materials pertinent to an intensive evaluation of the environmental health work force conducted in 1986 and 1987. The materials relate to a workshop that was one of the key tools used in conducting the study to estimate environmental health personnel supply, demand, and need. The report begins with an overview and synthesis of the workshop and post-workshop environmental health work force analyses, including a summary of estimates and a review of the main conclusions and recommendations developed in the course of the study.
