This unit for the Missouri Agricultural Science I curriculum is a revision of the 1982 Careers I unit. The three lessons of the unit are organized in a format designed to facilitate their use in the classroom, and a student reference is included. The lessons cover the following topics: (1) career opportunities in the agricultural industry; (2) job requirements and benefits of agricultural occupations; and (3) steps in identifying and selecting a career. Each lesson contains objectives, competencies, motivational techniques or interest approaches, evaluation with answers, references and resources, study questions, work sheets, and teaching procedures.
