Caring for Young Children: Teen Notebook.
Cherry, Florence
Specially designed for teenagers, this experience-based training program of five units provides information about working with young children and is the learner's counterpart of a separate set of materials designed for leaders working with the teens. Units of instruction concern working in a team, observing the world of the child, facilitating the development of preschool children, disciplining young children, and planning activities for young children. Units are formatted so that learners can use them to develop their skills by answering questions, assessing the safety of a center, making a record of observations of children, planning activities, analyzing teaching behavior, and keeping a personal journal. Each of the five units of instruction includes an activity based on an instructional film. (RH)
