This publication, a collection of instructional activities with decision-making as the main focus, is correlated to the "Give and Take" video/film series developed for a consortium of state and provincial education agencies. Presented are concepts related to the risks in taking advantage of economic opportunities, and instructional activities which include case studies, concept lessons, role plays, demonstrations, small group work, and independent study activities. The document contains the following units: (1) "Scarcity and Personal Decision Making"; (2) "Scarcity and Social Decision Making"; (3) "Opportunity Cost"; (4) "Credit"; (5) "Careers and Opportunities"; (6) "Productivity and Human Capital"; (7) "Public and Private Goods, Services, and Resources"; (8) "Taxes"; (9)"Supply and Demand"; (10) "Substitutes"; and (11) "Market Structure."
