Results of the College Board's Annual Survey of Colleges for 1986-1987 are presented, with attention to fall 1985 enrollment at 3,093 two-year and four-year institutions. The universe of surveyed institutions is described by control and type, and the percentage distributions in each category are indicated. Statistical tables provide: comparisons of undergraduate enrollments for fall 1984 and 1985 by control and type; comparisons of undergraduate enrollments for fall 1984 and 1985 by attendance status (full-time and part-time enrollments); data on first-time freshman enrollments, including breakdowns by sex; and graduate enrollments for fall 1984 and 1985 at the surveyed institutions and at an additional 167 institutions that offer graduate study only. For both undergradaute and graduate 1985 enrollment tables, information is provided on state totals followed by institutions in alphabetical order within the state.
