This directory lists the institutions that provide full-time postgraduate courses in public health lasting at least one academic year. Other institutions, such as schools of medicine, that have a department of public health or community health offering postgraduate programs in public health are also included. A total of 216 institutions in 54 countries are represented. This directory is intended primarily for administrators and educators in the health field and for health personnel interested in building upon their background of knowledge in public health by undergoing further graduate and postgraduate training. The basic postgraduate public health courses offered in each country are described, as well as other related courses, and particulars are given of the institutions where they are available.
