Pupil Progression Plan: Requirements and Procedures 1982-83.

The Pupil Progression Plan detailed in this document was developed in response to Florida's Educational Accountability Act, which requires each school district to establish a comprehensive program for pupil progression, and to fulfill the requirements of school board policy. The first section details general procedures for promotion, grades K-12. In the second section, the following aspects of enrollment and promotion within elementary school (K-6) are detailed: procedures for enrollment; procedures for promotion; promotion in exceptional student education; and the required program of study. The last section addresses enrollment and promotion in secondary school in terms of: (1) enrollment and promotion within the junior high school; (2) State requirements for promotion at the junior high level; (3) the junior high program of study; (4) promotion within the senior high school; (5) State requirements for promotion and graduation at the senior high level; (6) additional State requirements for a special diploma; (7) additional provisions for meeting graduation requirements; (8) required courses of study; and (9) graduation certificates and diplomas from senior high school. Twenty-one appendices, which comprise half of the document, present relevant school board policy statements and administrative procedures. (RDN)
