This manuscript, provided in a format that lends itself to workshop presentation, contains materials for vocational and secondary educators on curriculum and classroom modifications for handicapped learners. Content is divided into seven areas. The first section discusses overall curricular modification and adaptation for handicapped students. In the next six sections, curriculum modification and adaptation in the areas of hearing impairment, vision impairment, physical impairment, emotional impairment, mental impairment, and learning disabilities are addressed. Each of the seven sections is composed of suggestions for curricular adaptation and modification, a checklist of responsibilities of the vocational educator, a checklist of responsibilities of the special educator, practice exercises, and cartoons and narratives for making overhead transparencies.
