Part of a series of competency-based test materials for grades six through ten, this set of nine test booklets for sixth graders contains multiple-choice questions designed to aid in the evaluation of the pupils' library skills. Accompanied by a separate, tenth booklet of illustrations which are to be used in conjunction with the questions, the nine test items cover the following skill clusters: (1) location of library resources, (2) understanding about library materials, (3) using the card catalog, (4) general reference skills, (5) using dictionaries, (6) using encyclopedias, (7) using almanacs, (8) using atlases, and (9) using newspaper, magazine, and periodical indexes.
