This document presents a descriptive documentation of the steps that were required in planning and evaluating an academic tour of special libraries that was sponsored by Mankato State University of Mankato, Minnesota. It is divided into five parts: (1) introduction, (2) internal and external tour procedures, (3) checklist of tour planning steps, (4) results of the tour, and (5) summary of tour planning and evaluation procedures. Appended materials include logistical forms used by the university for student participation, the evaluation form, and copies of correspondence with appropriate commercial firms. (JD)
