Meyen, Edward L.; Altman, Reuben
Part 11 of a series of 13 instructor's manuals for the competency based training of curriculum consultants for exceptional children focuses on instructional training. Three competencies considered are: (1) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of designing and organizing instructional activities aimed at the development of specific skills requisite to various educational roles, (2) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of planning a training program relevant to the selection and utilization of instructional methodologies and classroom management techniques with exceptional children, and (3) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of planning training programs concerned with the identification and utilization of data collection techniques and instruments. Among materials included in the manual are lists of behavioral objectives for the module, enabling activities, and evaluation criteria for each of the competency components. Space is provided for the instructor to list resources and comments for the activities provided for each component. A conference record sheet is included for each of the three competencies. (PHR)
