Part 1 of a series of 13 instructor's manuals for the competency based training of curriculum consultants for exceptional children focuses on the evaluation of curriculum. Three competencies are considered: (1) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of providing leadership in designing and implementing and evaluation approach to curriculum development, (2) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of developing formative and summative evaluation procedures applicable to curriculum development efforts, and (3) that a curriculum consultant should be capable of interpreting evaluation data on curriculum development. Among materials included in the manual are a list of behavioral objectives for the module and enabling activities and evaluation criteria for each of the competency components. Space is provided for the instructor to list resources and comments for the activities provided for each component. A conference record sheet is included for each of the three competencies. (PHR)
