This manual is a resource guide on energy conservation for teachers of language arts from grades seven to twelve. It contains a multitude of student activities which are classified into 7 thematically oriented units. The aim of all the activities is to increase the student's awareness and knowledge of energy conservation. The four basic goals of the project are to increase the student's understanding that: (1) Natural laws limit energy availability; (2) Energy consumption affects both man and his environment; (3) Human values and attitudes affect energy usage; and (4) Energy conservation is necessary to maintain our lifestyle.
