Job Opportunities Forecast for Washington State, 1974 to 1985. Technical Report. Third Edition.
Halverson, Homer; And Others
This document describes the job opportunities forecast system which provides estimates of total job openings expected to be available in the Washington State Labor market annually through 1985. (The forecast has been keyed to occupational skills consistent with educational programs in the state. This edition of the forecast has been expanded to include professional occupations as well.) The methodology behind the forecasts is discussed in this document, but the actual projections are included in a companion document, CE 018 691. The main body of this document discusses the generalized framework of the Occupational Education Forecast System into which the Washington input fits. The information is divided into the following sections: (1) introduction to the Occupational Education Forecasting System; (2) description of the forecast system; (3) limitations of the forecast system; (4) procedures for assignment coding; and (5) methods of computation. Appended are tables/figures supporting the Occupational Education Forecasting System and tables supporting the adaptation of the Occupational Education Forecasting System to Washington State. (BM)
