Home economics teachers submitted the teacher evaluation instruments presented in this publication to a team of home economics teacher educators. The team judged the measures to be functionally related to teacher competency statements developed at a national workshop. Competency statements are organized by topic: educational philosophy, professional role, program planning, educative process, and research. Each topic contains from two to six statements which are operationalized by indicators--desired teaching skills. Each indicator is referenced to the instrument which attempts to measure it. The bulk of this publication contains copies of the forty-eight instruments. Each is prefaced by a one-page outline of its purpose, description, population, validation, selected references, and availability. The instruments vary in level of conceptualization, stage of development, and amount of reportable documentary data. (CP)
