The geographic origin of students enrolled in Kentucky colleges and universities for the Fall of 1977 are detailed in charts, tables, and maps compiled by the Kentucky Council on Higher Education. The data were gathered from colleges and universities accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools or by the American Association of Bible Colleges. Kentucky state-supported and independent institutions enrolled 126,162 students during the fall semester of 1977 and of that total, 125,395 are listed in this report by their Kentucky county or state of origin. Enrollment by county and state of origin is given for state-supported and independent colleges, universities, community colleges, and junior colleges. First-time freshmen enrollments, tuition waiver enrollments, and first-professional enrollments are detailed. Out-of-state enrollments and out-of-state first-time freshmen enrollment rates are included for both state-supported and independent institutions. Origin of enrollment for various individual institutions is also diagrammed with maps of the state of Kentucky. (BH)
