Speidel, Gisela E.
This report from the Kamehameha Early Education Program (KEEP) describes the 1975-76 KEEP staff development program, which was designed to integrate staff development and research. Specific purposes of the program were: (1) to develop the abilities of the teaching staff in teaching, consultation, and research; (2) to conduct pilot research in effective teaching behaviors and methods in the classroom; and (3) to generate the groundwork for broadening the content of KEEP teachers' consultation efforts in the public schools. The structure of the program is outlined, and several projects undertaken by participants are described briefly. A preliminary evaluation of program effectiveness is presented. (Author/RH)
