A Follow-Up Study of Groups Program Students, 1969 to 1975.
Mueller, Daniel J.; Keene, John M., Jr.
In the spring semester of 1977 all Indiana University Groups Program students from the freshman classes 1969 through 1975 were surveyed by mailed questionnaires. Responses were received from 177 of the 1,437 Groups students to whom they were sent. Respondents were asked about educational status and educational history, current employment, and financial aid received while in the program. The major portion of the questionnnaire, however, asked respondents about their use of program facilities and services, and their evaluations of these facilities and services. Most respondents were well pleased with the Groups Program staff. The most criticized program element was financial aid - especially the loan program, which many students and families dealt with the selection and identification of Groups students and counseling directed at early clarification of student goals.
