Effectiveness of an Alternative Delivery System for In-Service Vocational Teacher Education. Final Report.

The project reported here was done to provide vocational teacher educators in Colorado with an off-campus delivery system for an introductory inservice or preservice course in cooperative education and coordinating techniques. Following a brief project summary, the remainder of this report is comprised of appendixes. The first four of five appendixes include project task force members, objectives, and topical content outline for the ten-session course curriculum, a videotaping schedule and guides for making ten videotapes to be used in conjunction with six modules, and several evaluation instruments. The fifth appendix, which accounts for about two-thirds of the total appendix material, contains eight field-tested modules; each module has an introduction, directions (including goal, behavioral objectives, procedures, resource materials, and references), one to two activities (with indicated goals, learning activities, and checklists for evaluative purposes) and an appendix of reading materials, references, relevant forms and/or terminology. The module titles are (1) Developing Program Policy, (2) Functions with School and Community Personnel, (3) Recruiting Students, (4) Selecting Students, (5) Locating and Selecting Training Stations, (6) Developing Training Stations, (7) Legal Considerations, and (8) Placing Students.
