This second in a series of eleven learning modules on program planning, development, and evaluation is designed to develop secondary and postsecondary vocational teachers' skills in conducting a community survey which will yield information needed for vocational education program planning to meet community labor requirements. Introductory sections relate the competencies dealt with here to others in the program and list both the enabling objectives for the three learning experiences and the resources required. Materials in the learning experiences include required readings (e.g., publicizing a survey), case studies to critique, model critiques, sample forms and letters for publicity, and the teacher performance assessment form for use in evaluation of the terminal objective. (The modules on program planning, development, and evaluation are part of a larger series of 100 field-tested performance-based teacher education (PBTE) self-contained learning packages for use in preservice or inservice training of teachers in all occupational areas.
