Designed to supplement the existing curriculum at the fifth and sixth grade levels, this curriculum guide contains activities for the following subject areas: Social studies, math, fine arts, science, and language arts. Each subject area includes units of study which provide information (in column form) on career related activities, resources, and evaluation/outcome. The career related materials can be developed with suggested activities and materials designed to (1) promote the student's understanding of himself and others, (2) provide occupational information, (3) explore the world of work, (4) and assist the student in finding out about himself as part of the preparation for decisionmaking.
