This module is the second in a two-module cluster. Together, the modules are designed to enable students to recognize and identify by type the errors that occur in recorded samples of oral reading. This one--Module B--focuses on the actual analysis of oral reading errors. Using the understanding of the phonemic and morphemic elements of English gained in Module A, students use the exercises given here to compare overt, or actual, responses with expected responses in reading by examining, first, written transcriptions of reading performances, then recordings of oral reading.
