The report summarizes a project for conducting a series of workshops and graduate level extension courses on work experience education at various California locations. The purpose of the series was to increase the effectiveness of teaching for disadvantaged and handicapped, update occupational competencies, update administrative and supervisory skills, and orient nonvocational education personnel to vocational education. A total of 556 educators participated in the project, with 138 enrolled in workshops, 210 in a fall series of courses, and 208 in a spring series. Results of a questionnaire administered to participants indicated a high degree of acceptance of the course. Presented in the report are the project director's summary, objectives, planned participant selection, and participant selection report. Appendixes comprise the main body of the report, and contain the following: geographical report on participants, participant data summary form, the project evaluation reports and subjective project evaluation reports for both the fall and spring series of courses, three quarterly project reports (from July, 1972 to March, 1973), and results of the subjective questionnaire ratings by class.
