This student activities source book is one of a series of four developed by the Carroll County Public School System, Maryland, for celebration of the Bicentennial. It is specifically designed to generate ideas integrating the Bicentennial celebration into various disciplines, classroom activities, and school-wide events at the secondary level. This specific unit contains 88 activities under the disciplines of art, home economics, industrial and practical arts, language arts, music, physical education, science, and social studies. Sample activities include candle making, needle point, pewter casting, literature of the American Revolution, relating folk songs to historical events, shuffle board, colonial science and technology, and role playing American patriots.
