This book examines cooperation, competition, and individualization in the classroom. Although the authors admit to a preference for cooperation among students in learning situations, they also believe that there are times when competition and individualization may be more beneficial. These three goal structures are examined in terms of: (a) definition, (b) research, (c) myths, (d) selection, (e) implementation, (f) skills, (g) monitoring, (h) evaluation, (i) teacher role, and (j) classroom management.
