The goal of this practicum was to create a formal supervisory program where there had been none previously. After considering several supervisory alternatives, an intradepartmental, colleagal approach was selected. This approach permits teachers to judge their performance according to established teaching patterns and to share classroom techniques and styles with each other in a nonthreatening atmosphere.
