Equal Employment Opportunity Counseling. Participant Manual.
Civil Service Commission, Washington, DC. Bureau of Training.
This manual contains the course material designed to prepare equal employment opportunity counselors to informally resolve complaints of discrimination. The principal focus of the course is on techniques of counseling, which are taught through lecture and role-play sessions simulating actual complaint situations. At the end of the course, participants will be able to explain the discrimination complaint process and describe their role as EEO counselors. They will also have the beginning skills necessary to conduct interviews, gather information pertinent to the complaint and informally resolve the complaint. (Author/PC)
