This report summarizes the experiences of existing Follow Through projects in an effort to provide some guidance for communities attempting to establish new Follow Through programs. Problems commonly encountered in setting up project objectives, (choosing a sponsor, recruiting and training staff, establishing laision between project, school, sponsor, and community, and monitoring project effectiveness) are described, and lessons to be learned from both successful and unsuccessful experiences are reviewed.
