Patterns and Styles in the Supervision of Teachers in Individual Conferences Following Classroom Observation.
Perlberg, Arye; Theodor, Esther
This study demonstrates how the use of microteaching techniques allows for the collection of a wealth of comparable data about supervisory behavior in a relatively short time and under well-controlled conditions. This technique, combined with qualitative analysis of the data, investigated the individual's dominant and persuasive patterns of behavior, which determine his general style (without a priori categories), and ensures highly relevant and accurate information, which can provide a useful base for supervisory research.
