This is a teacher's guide for a seventh grade social studies course designed to help students better understand themselves by examining the physical aspects and the social systems of the world. Background information, objectives, and a course outline are provided in the introduction. For each unit of the course there is an introduction and suggested materials. The structure of each teaching unit consists of content, both generalizations and contributing concepts, and suggested learning experiences of basic and supplementary activities to be coordinated with the concepts.
