A Study of the Feasibility of Predicting Job Tenure Among Employment Service Applicants Through the Use of Biographical Information.

This report presents the findings of a research study which demonstrated the feasibility of the utilization of biographical information in the prediction of three month and six month employment tenure. The analysis sample included Black disadvantaged males (N=477) and females (N=225) in three cities who had received no previous manpower training and/or counseling services and who were placed by State Employment Service Offices into a varying range of manufacturing and service occupations at varying salary levels.
