ORGANIZATION AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: The introductory material indicates the goals of the home economics program, competencies needed by adolescents, the nature of home economics for grades 8 and 9, and suggested time allotments. The main text is divided into seven sections: effective use of instructional techniques, food and nutrition--directing laboratory experiences, food and nutrition, textiles and clothing, child development, family health, and careers in home economics.
