Decisions concerned with the use of alternative Air Force training methods require several types of data. Among these are capacity to train, cost of the training, and quality of the trained airmen. The two methods of formal training in the Air Force are on-the-job training (OJT) and technical school training. The data currently being provided to decision makers for selecting the proper mix of these two training methods can be substantially improved. (Author)
