England is in the process of changing to the metric system of measurement. This manual was prepared to help in the metrication training of persons who are directly involved in manipulations of metric units in their jobs or who are required to work with them. A method of organizing and controlling the training is outlined which provides for training new employees as well as existing staff. Much of the training should be planned around procedures and materials used in specific jobs, and job-oriented training techniques may be devised as needed for different categories of staff. Examples of typical job exercises are included in the manual, along with control forms and a criterion test to assess the learner's knowledge. (MF)
