Suggestions for the Teaching of Classics.
Ministry of Education, London (England).
This pamphlet reviews the current educational status of the classics in the curriculum in England and suggests teaching methods for all levels of instruction. Four major sections focus on: (1) program articulation, (2) the Latin course below the sixth form, (3) the teaching of Latin and Greek: program requirements, and (4) sixth-form work. The principal source of this study dates back to the original work produced in 1939. Matters dealing with the course content, teaching methodology, development of basic skills, and course objectives are examined. (RL)
