Contemporary media, including films, music, tape, and filmstrips, which are appropriate in religion classes and in value education are discussed. Reviews of 75 short films describe the film and in most cases also give discussion questions. Distributors and rental charges are included. Popular folk and rock songs pertinent to contemporary issues are discussed, along with a few filmstrips and spoken word records. If classes have access to portable tape recorders, these activities are suggested: making audio collages, conducting man-in-the-street interviews, providing an original soundtrack for a film, exchanging tapes with other schools, and tape recording their own classes and activities to see where communication breaks down.
