ORGANIZATION AND PHYSICAL APPEARANCE: The guide is divided into seven color-coded sections covering program organization, diagnosis, basic skills, advanced skills, reading taste, spelling, and material selection. It is mimeographed and spiral-bound with a paper cover. OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES: The guide contains detailed descriptions of numerous activities to improve reading skills at remedial, regular, and advanced levels. Although some mention is made of literature, the main emphasis is on reading in content areas such as social studies and mathematics. No specific objectives are mentioned. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS: Each section contains a short list of teacher and student references.
