33 Roles for Teachers and Pupils in the Classroom.
Vincent, William S.
This booklet is intended for use by persons participating in a "Role Identification Training Session." It lists 33 behaviors--one on each page--and gives a description and example of the behaviors as manifested by both teachers and students. Space is provided for the participant to write in examples that he has observed of these behaviors. Behaviors listed relate to four principal objectives: 1) individualization of the instructional program, 2) development of good interpersonal relations among pupils and between teachers and pupils, 3) cultivation of a setting for creative thinking, 4) utilization of the characteristics of good group activity. Some examples are involvement in an activity, shared leadership, mutual respect, group evaluation, flexible timing of learning experiences, creative thinking, patient manner, individualized evaluation, self-evaluation, permissive movement around the room, and admission of mistakes.
