The purposes of this study were: (1) to determine salaries being paid to the incumbents of 46 selected professional administrative positions in higher education; (2) to determine the nature and dollar value of non-cash and total compensation afforded 30 of the 46 reported positions; and (3) to investigate the compensation relationships among positions and between positions and selected indicators of institutional identify, resources, size and complexity. The data used in this study was obtained from 1,092 institutions of higher education. (AF)
