Based on a work paper on adult and continuing education policy formation for Quebec, this document modifies and supplements recommendations on the unemployed and other high priority clientele groups, adult education content and methodology, the training of adult educators, responsibilities of sponsoring bodies (including the mass media), Federal and provincial involvement in planning, and more effective support for community development, residential education, and other informal and/or privately sponsored adult education activities. Unanimous resolutions stress such needs as research, information exchange, wider educational opportunities, greater program flexibility, and simpler terminology, as well as changes in adult student selection and evaluation.
