Information about the dropout problem in Iowa (in 1963-64) is presented in this document. This state-wide survey sought to determine the number of dropouts and their reasons for leaving school, to explore dropout rehabilitation possibilities, and to develop methods for early identification of potential dropouts. Data are reported in a number of graphs and tables for each county. Some representative school programs are described and some suggestions for dropout programs and prevention methods are included.
