Investigated the effectiveness of a litter reduction program, consisting of group assignment of responsibility and a token reward system, on weekend litter rates in college residence halls. Results indicated procedure was completely effective, with litter reduced to zero in all settings. (BL)

This paper attempts to determine the impact a building's physical design and structure has on student/resident perceptions of residence hall staff effectiveness. The importance of the present study is the demonstration that both accurate empathy and warmth responses can be increased significantly after only six hours of training.
